This is a Hawaiian style offshore fishing lure for marlin, tuna, sailfish, wahoo, and other large pelagic gamefish. The Flat Head design has a 90-degree cut face which causes it to track in a straight line, vibrating in a tight pattern followed by a long trail of bubbles or “smoke”. The Flat Head holds well in the water even at relatively high trolling speeds making it an effective performer in poor sea conditions. The lure head is made of hard polyurethane resin, it is keel weighted and equipped with anti-chafe rubber tubing, and our proprietary embedded hook lock system. The saddle is designed to fit standard size 14-inch silicone skirts; however, for optimal results, this lure is skirted with lightweight hand tied vinyl. Heavy silicone skirts can create excessive drag on a lure which can inhibit performance, the much lighter vinyl skirts improve the lure´s action by allowing a freer and more reactive swim.
